It’s given not just for what someone has done, but for how they consistently lead with heart, service, and generosity.

This year’s recipient, Dave Martinson, is a longtime supporter deeply committed to the Foundation’s work. He consistently donates his services and provides auction packages that help the Foundation fundraise in meaningful ways — all while generously giving of his own personal treasures. His involvement goes far beyond financial contributions; he brings a genuine passion for the Foundation’s mission and is always looking for new, meaningful ways to give back.

Martinson is a strong advocate for the idea that travel is one of the most powerful forms of education. He actively works to ensure students, families, and educators can fully experience and understand that value, helping preserve authentic travel experiences in meaningful ways. An advocate, leader, and storyteller, he’s rarely seen without a camera around his neck, capturing the moments that make student travel unforgettable.
