Prior to the pandemic, thanks to SYTA and partners—Disney on Broadway and Hard Rock Cafe—students from Brooklyn High School of the Arts/Brooklyn Transition Center were able to have an unforgettable experience in New York City seeing The Lion King on Broadway.
In late February, seventh and eighth grade students from Goddard Scholars Academy at Sullivan Middle School in Worcester, Massachusetts embarked on an exhilarating Silver Lining trip to New York City.
We know that travel changes young lives for good and the SYTA Youth Foundation (SYF) provides access to travel opportunities for students and youth that would otherwise be unavailable due to family hardship, budget cuts in school systems or simply lack of the access to, or education about, travel as a learning experience.
Eighteen students and chaperones from the A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club of Greater Birmingham participated in the 2019 SYTA Youth Foundation Next Generation Program at SeaWorld San Antonio, in October.
