Hurley Junior High Visits SeaWorld through SYF Next Generation Program

Washington, D.C., March 18, 2015 – Twenty-five deserving students and five chaperones from Hurley, Missouri, visited Orlando, Florida, to participate in SeaWorld Orlando's three-day resident camp program. The students worked hand-in-hand with the park's animal caregivers and benefited from leadership training with Norm Hull through the SYTA Youth Foundation (SYF) Next Generation Program.

Silver Lining 8th Grade Fieldtrip

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 12, 2015—Thirty-one deserving eighth-grade students from Sto-Rox Middle School recently returned home to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania having been forever changed by an incredible educational experience in Washington, D.C., made possible by the SYTA Youth Foundation (SYF) and Destination DC’s philanthropic arm, the American Experience Foundation.

DC Backyard Bound 2014

Washington, D.C., June 30, 2014—The SYTA Youth Foundation (SYF) with the help of its program partner, Destination DC, hosted the inaugural DC Backyard Bound Program, June 13, 2014. Forty students from Kelly Miller Middle School in the Washington, D.C., metro area were selected as the first recipients of the DC Backyard Bound program and granted a one-day field trip to experience some of D.C.’s iconic sites and attractions.
